Company
Founded in 2001 in Phoenix, Arizona, MainNerve began as a boutique consulting firm with a focus on supporting companies with high-end network routing and security needs. The company had some initial success in leveraging its experience in the design and development of Internet backbones and routing infrastructures for some of the largest ISP's in the world, and matching that skill-set to the needs of enterprise and SMB.
The company evolved over the years and was able to successfully migrate a good portion of its attention to the development of the Adaptive DarkNet™ security appliance in response to many of the problems clients were having in truly securing their networks against stealthy bot, and botnet threats in as early as 2002. The idea was way ahead of its time, but was adopted very early by companies in healthcare, energy, finance, distribution, manufacturing and education near the home office in Phoenix, AZ.
MainNerve has a patent pending on The Method and Apparatus of Suspect Traffic Redirection with the US Patent Office, and was the first company to have a commercially available product that would block communication from an enterprise host to a known hacker command and control system. The system is safe, reliable, and engineered to allow a network professional to dynamically block internal systems from accessing malicious external hosts.
MainNerve can still say that the Adaptive Darknet has had no false positives, and MainNerve has had 100% success in deploying the Adaptive DarkNet™ for its users, either in the course of an audit, or as a permanent defense system.
Today, MainNerve specializes exclusively in network and information security services and technology innovations, utilizing its Netforce Security™ line of products and services as the cornerstone of its differentiation in the market. MainNerve's diverse client roster includes not only Fortune 500 businesses operating globally, but also any company whose critical systems are exposed to the Internet.
